The Watchtower teaches that the Kingdom of Christ was established in 1914 (Make Sure of All Things. 226). The kingdom of Christ of Old Testament promises and prophecy is the church of Christ (Matthew 16:18-19; Hebrews 12:22-29). Christ was crowned King when He ascended back to the Father (Daniel 7:13-14; Acts 1:9-11; 2:29-36). His kingdom was established on earth on the first Pentecost after Jesus’ resurrection (Matthew 3:1-2; Mark 1:14-15; 9:1; Acts 1:6-8; 2:1-4; Colossians 1:13; Revelation 1:9).
